ANZAC Day 2024 will be commemorated on Thursday the 25th April. It is a day of remembrance in honour of those who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. One of the key observances is the ANZAC Day is the Dawn Service which will see crowds gather across Australian and New Zealand at places of remembrance to commemorate the fallen. ANZAC Day Marches and Parades will also take place to show respect to those who have served. Sport is also a feature of ANZAC Day with big matches played by the major sporting league in the AFL and NRL paying tribute in the afternoon after the more formal commemorations have taken place. Restaurants, Cafes and Bars will frequently open early on ANZAC Day in order to provide breakfast and coffee to those that have attended a Dawn Service as we’ll as to take part the traditional ANZAC Day game of ‘two-up’.
